Accountabilities

As a Medical HealthCare Partner, you will be responsible for:

  • Gaining a comprehensive understanding of the HealthCare System Pathways in the Hematology setting.

  • Actively mapping initiatives and insights from the Healthcare System to improve patient pathways.

  • Driving and supporting sustainable system transformation for patient management.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams as a medical-scientific expert in Hematology.

  • Developing and implementing medical strategies based on external medical environment insights.

  • Preparing and performing a tailored field medical and communication plan aligned with Hematology.

  • Building and maintaining peer-level relationships with key external experts.

  • Supporting AstraZeneca's clinical research program and externally sponsored research projects.

  • Creating real-world evidence data generation projects in collaboration with medical teams.

  • Partnering with internal team members to provide medical-scientific contributions.

  • Setting up and providing medical-scientific training for sales force and other personnel.

  • Organizing and implementing field medical and communication plans.

  • Supporting the Medical Governance Team in handling external medical and scientific requests.

Essential Skills/Experience

  • University degree or equivalent experience in a health-related scientific field.

  • Good understanding of oncology.

  • Professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Hematology therapeutic area experience within clinical research will also be considered.

  • High-level scientific knowledge and ability to analyze and process clinical and scientific data.

  • Experience in liaising with healthcare professionals.

  • Quick self-learner, ability to work in a team and independently.

  • Communicative competence and presentation skills.

  • Written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.

  • Very good knowledge of spoken and written Portuguese.

  • Very good command of written and spoken English.

Desirable Skills/Experience

  • Oncology understanding (preferably Hematology setting).

  • Pharma industry experience, preferably in a field medical role or within Medical Affairs.

  • Project management skills (preferably).

  • Knowledge of the legal and ethical framework for medicinal products in Portugal (preferably).​
